The result is some gasoline reaching the intake manifold to create a flooded engine on start-up.

Cranks like a champ. If you pump the gas pedal, you can get it start in two or three tries. Time is a factor. If stopped a short period of time, the car starts on the first try. Leave it for 4 hours or more and it takes 8-10 tries or once again, pump a few times and the car starts in two or three.

(Bad fuel pump or fuel line size or hole in line) It should light with choke all the way open and ONE full throttle press. If its warm outside this technique should yield a started car first try.

  • Jun 29, 2010 · yeah when i posted this thread my car had stock fuel mods. Ive since installed a walbro 255, 1050cc injectors and a AFPR and i still have to pump the gas to start my car. It definitely wasn't a boost leak either. I never did get around to replacing my ISC or TPS but idc anymore. Ive kinda gotten used to pumping the gas when i start my car

On my car (2005 Dodge Grand Caravan) when I fill up my gas tank, almost immediately afterwards pulling out of the gas station my van sputters, misses, hesitates, call it what you will. The past couple of times the engine has actually stalled as well. This is very short term. After this quick event it is then fine for the rest if the tank of gas.
